    This is one of those recipes that.... the longer it sits the better it gets. If you have the time, it will be even more flavorful if you make it the day ahead.....
    one of our family's favorite "Comfort Foods".

    List of Ingredients




    1 lb. elbow macaroni
    3 Tbl. oil
    1 med. onion (chopped)
    1 lg. green bell pepper (chopped)
    1 1/2 lb. hamburg
    1-14.5oz. can stewed tomatoes
    1-26oz. can condensed tomato soup (undiluted)
    salt & pepper to taste


    Recipe



    Cook macaroni according to package directions and drain. In large frying pan, saute onion and pepper in oil until almost tender. Add hamburg and cook until no longer pink. Drain fat. Put stewed tomatoes in lg. saucepan and mash into small pieces. Add undiluted tomato soup, and hamburg mixture. Stir well and simmer on low for 30 minutes. Add to cooked macaroni. Season with salt and pepper and serve.
