    Quick- Cinnamon Swirl Bread

    List of Ingredients




    4 cups all-purpose flour
    2 teaspoon baking powder
    2 teaspoons baking soda
    1 teaspoon salt
    2 heaping tablespoons sugar
    1 heaping tablespoon cinnamon
    1 cup shortening
    2 cups sugar
    4 eggs
    2 teaspoons vanilla
    2 cups buttermilk


    Recipe



    1. In a medium bowl, mix together flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt and set aside.
    2. In a small bowl, combine sugar and cinnamon and set aside.
    3. In a large bowl cream together shortening and sugar. Mix in eggs and vanilla. Add buttermilk and the flour mixture. Mix well.
    4. Grease two standard loaf pans. Using half of the batter mix, divide evenly, putting 1/4 in each pan. Sprinkle 1/4 of the cinnamon sugar mix over the batter in each pan and swirl with knife or spatula. Divide the remaining batter between the two pans.. Sprinkle with the remaining cinnamon sugar mix. Swirl to mix.
    5. Bake at 350 F. for about 1 hour or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool in pan for 5 minutes. Turn out on wire rack to cool completely.
    Yield: 2 loaf pans
