    Corn- Corn Bread with Chilies

    List of Ingredients


    2 eggs, beaten

    1 cup cream style corn

    1 cup buttermilk

    1 1/2 teaspoons salt

    3 teaspoons baking powder

    1 cup water ground corn meal

    1/2 cup high quality vegetable oil

    1 small onion, chopped

    1 (4-ounce) can chopped green chili peppers

    1 cup grated cheese




    Recipe

    Mix eggs, corn, buttermilk, salt, baking powder, and corn meal. Add oil. Pour one half of batter into a greased 9 x 13 inch casserole dish and cover with onion, chili peppers and 1/2 cup cheese. Carefully pour on rest of batter and top with remaining cheese. Bake at 325 degrees for 1 hour. To freeze: mix, freeze and bake later. 6 servings.
