    Prep time: 20 minutes * Cook time: 1 hour, 30 minutes * Serves 12

    List of Ingredients





    2 cups chopped nuts
    2 cups raisins
    2 cups mashed persimmon pulp
    2 cups sugar
    2 tablespoons oil
    3 cups flour
    1/4 teaspoon cloves
    2 teaspoons baking soda
    2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
    1 teaspoon salt
    1 cup milk



    Recipe



    Mix nuts, raisins, persimmon pulp, sugar and oil.

    Sift flour, spices, soda and salt. Gradually add this dry mixture to persimmon mixture. Add the milk.

    Pour into a well-oiled angel-food pan and bake at 300 degrees for 1 1/2 hours.

    Per serving: 490 cal.; 10 g pro.; 84 g carb.; 15 g fat (2 sat., 4 monounsat., 9 polyunsat.); 3 mg chol.; 418 mg sod.; 3 g fiber; 52 g sugar; 27 percent calories from fat.
