    1 cup butter (no substitutes)
    1/4 cup sifted powdered sugar
    1 tablespoon water
    2 teaspoons vanilla
    2 cups all-purpose flour
    1 cup chopped blanced almonds
    Sifted powdered sugar

    Recipe



    Beat butter in a mixing bowl with an electric mixer on medium speed for 30 seconds. Add the 1/4 cup powdered sugar and beat till combined. Beat in as much flour as you can. Stir in in any remaining flour and the almonds.
    Using a scant tablespoon of dough for each, form into crescents abut 2 inches long. Place on an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake in a 325 degree oven for 20 minutes or till bottoms are lightly browned. While warm roll in powdered sugar. Roll again in powdered sugar before serving. Makes 48.
