    Pork- Five Spice Pork Tenderloin

    3 tablespoon ground cinnamon
    2 teaspoons anise seed
    1 1/2 teaspoons whole black peppercorns
    1 teaspoon fennel seed
    1/2 teaspoon ground cloves
    1 12-oz pork tenderloin
    3 cloves garlic, quartered
    Cooking oil

    Recipe



    1. For five-spice powder, in a blender container combine cinnmon, anise seed, peppercorns, fennel seed, and cloves. Blend until powdery. Make random cuts about 12-inch deep in meat. I desired, insert garlic slices into cuts in meat. Brush meat with oil; rub about 1 tablespoon of the seasoning blend over tenderloin. Let meat stand 30 minutes before grilling. Insert a meat thermometer near center of the tenderloin.
    2. In a grill with a cover, arrange medium-hot coals around a drip pan; test for medium heat over drip pan. Place pork over drip pan. cover and grill for 25 to 30 minutes or until meat thermometer registers 160 degrees and juices run clear. Remove pork from grill and cover with foil. Let stand 5 minutes before slicing. Makes 4 servings
