    Scalloped Garlic Potatoes

    5 Yukon gold potatoes, peeled and sliced
    Salt to taste
    4 large cloves garlic, minced
    1 3 / 4 cups milk
    1/3 cup whipping cream
    2 tablespoons flour

    Servings: 6
    Toss potatoes with salt and garlic. Place in a buttered 8-inch-square baking dish. Pour milk evenly over potatoes. Bake, uncovered, in a preheated 325-degree oven for 45 minutes. Meanwhile, stir a little bit of cream into flour to make a thin paste and then add rest of cream. Remove potatoes from oven and stir cream and flour mixture into potatoes. Return to oven and bake 45 minutes longer.
