1 cup heavy or whipping cream
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
2 tablespoons margarine or butter (1/4 stick)
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon cracked black pepperRecipe
About 15 minutes before serving.
In a 1-quart saucepan over medium-high heat, heat cream to boiling. Reduce heat to medium; gradually stir in 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese. Add margarine or butter, 1 tablespoon at a time, stirring. Add salt and pepper. Makes 1 1/4 cups sauce or enough to serve over 1/2 pound pasta, cooked, at 4 accompaniment servings. To serve, sprinkle with remaining cheese.
