    Mustard- Golden Mustard Sauce

    Recipe Introduction

    Makes 1 1/2 cups

    List of Ingredients

    2 tablespoons butter or margarine
    2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
    5 teaspoons dry mustard
    2 teaspoons sugar
    1 teaspoon salt
    Dash of cayenne
    1 cup milk
    2 egg yolks
    2 tablespoons cider vinegar

    Recipe

    1. Melt butter or margarine in a medium-size saucepan; stir in flour, mustard, sugar, salt and cayenne. Cook, stirring constantly, just until bubbly. Stir in milk; continue cooking and stirring until sauce thickens and boils 1 minutes.
    2. Beat egg yoks in a small bowl; stir in a generous 1/2 cup of the hot mixture, then stir back into remaining sauce in pan. Cook ,stirring constantly, 1 minute longer; remove from heat. Stir in vinegar.
    3. Serve warm of cold.
