    Sweet- Caramel Sauce

    List of Ingredients





    3/4 cup heavy cream
    2 tablespoons ( 1/4 stick) unsalted butter
    1 cup brown sugar
    1/4 teaspoon fresh lemon juice
    2 tablespoons water

    Recipe




    1. In saucepan, combine cream and butter and cook gently over low heat
    until butter is melted.

    2. In a heavy saucepan, combine sugar, lemon juice and water and cook over
    medium heat, stirring occasionally. Cook until syrup is a medium golden brown,
    about 300 degrees on a candy thermometer, watching carefully that sugar does
    not burn. Remove from heat immediately.

    3. Add cream mixture carefully, stirring until well blended. Be careful of
    splattering. Serve sauce warm or cool, or refrigerate, covered, until needed,
    up to 5 days. To reheat, cook over low heat, stirring until melted. Makes about
    1 1/2 cups.
