Sweet- Pineapple Sauce

List of Ingredients




1 tablespoon cornstarch
1/4 cup sugar
1 1/2 cup pineapple juice
2 tablespoons butter
1/8 teaspoon cinnamon, if desired

Recipe



Mix together the constarch, sugar and, if using, the cinnamon in top of double boiler, add a little of the pineapple juice and stir until smooth. Then add rest of juice and cook over direct heat until mixture boils and thickens, stirring constantly . Cover and cook over boiling water for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally. Remove from heat and add butter. Chill and serve over unfrosted plain cake or sponge cake. About 1 1/2 cups
