2 cups sugar
1 tablespoon grated orange rind
1/2 cup orange juice
1/3 cup light corn syrup
1/4 cup orange liqueur
2 tablespoon butter or margarine
1 teasooon clear vanilla extractRecipe
Combine all ingredients in a heavy saucepan; bring to a boil over medium heat. Reduce heat to low; simmer 5 minutes or until sugar dissolves, stirring occasionally.
Pour through a wir-mesh strainer into a small pitcher, discarding orange rind. Serve with orange sections over ice cream or waffes. Yield 2 cups.
