    Oak Hill Potatoes


    List of Ingredients


    • 8 raw potatoes cubed
    • 3 Tablespoons butter
    • 3 Tablespoons flour
    • 2 cups milk
    • salt and pepper to taste
    • 1/2 to 3/4 cup grated cheddar cheese
    • 1/2 cup unseasoned fresh bread crumbs


    Instructions


    1. Melt butter in saucepan

    2. Add flour
    3. Add milk stirring constantly ( you may want to add more milk at this time depending on how thick you want your cream sauce to be).
    4. Pour cream sauce over potatoes in a 2 quart casserole.
    5. Season with salt and pepper.
    6. Cover the top with cheddar cheese and bread crumbs.
    7. Bake in a slow oven ( 325 degrees) for 1 1/2 hours.
    8. This should be brown,bubbling and golden on top when done.


    Final Comments


    You can parboil the raw potatoes to cut down on the time.
