This is an original recipe from an old boss's mother. She wouldn't give it to his wife, but she gave it to me!!!

BETTY ALEXANDER'S PECAN PRALINES
1 (1LB) BOX DARK BROWN SUGAR
1/2 CUP EVAPORATED MILK
PINCH SALT
1 HEAPING TBSP BUTTER, NOT MARGARINE
1 TSP VANILLA
2 CUP PECAN HALVES
Recipe
COOK FIRST 3 INGREDIENTS UNTIL SOFT BALL STAGE. REMOVE FROM FIRE, ADD BUTTER AND VANILLA. BEAT HARD UNTIL BUTTER MELTS. ADD PECANS WHEN STARTING TO GET THICK. SPOON BY HEAPING SPPONFULLS ON FOIL.
