Savory Pinto Beans

List of Ingredients
1 lb. pinto beans looked, rinsed, soaked overnight, and drained
2 teaspoons onion salt
1/4 teasp. garlic salt
1 Tablespoon chicken stock (soup) base or 3-4 chicken bouillon cubes
1/4 teasp. black pepperRecipe
Place beans in a large pan or a dutch oven. Add 6 cups ot water and 1 tablespoon shortening. Add spices and bouillon cubes. Boil gently with lid tilted till desired tenderness is achieved.
