    1 pkg active dry yeast
    2 tablespoons brown sugar
    1 1/8 teaspons salt
    4 cups all purpose flour
    1 1/2 cups warm water(110 degrees)
    ______________________________
    2 cups warm water
    2 tablespoons baking soda
    2 tablespoons butter melted
    coarse salt, cinnamon sugar or whatever else you want on your pretzel.

    In large mixing bowl disolve yeast in 1 1/2 c water add brownsugar and salt. add flour and knead for 5-8 minutes.
    cover, let rise for one hour.

    combine the 2 cups warm water with baking soda in large shallow bowl... cut dough into 10-12 sectons and shape into pretzels... dip in water/baking soda solution.
    Lay them on abaking tray and let rise for approx 20 minutes.

    bake at 450 for 8-10 minutes... brush with melted butter and top with whatever you like!!!
