    A staple in my house. I add seeds, sesame, sunflower, poppy and sometimes pumpkin.

    List of Ingredients







    1 cup milk
    1 cup water
    ½ cup honey
    3 tbsp. Butter
    2 cups bread flour
    1 cup whole wheat flour
    2 pkgs. Dry yeast
    1 egg
    1 tbsp. Salt
    2 cups whole wheat flour
    1 cup bread flour (can use all purpose flour instead of bread flour

    Heat milk, water , honey and butter to 120 degrees. In large bowl, combine 2 cups bread flour, 1 cup whole wheat flour, yeast, egg, salt and warmed milk mixture. Mix until well blended. Add remaining whole wheat flour and enough of the all purpose flour to make a stiff dough. Knead well. Cover, let rise in a warm place until doubled, about 1 hour. Punch down, divide into two loaves, knead each loaf. Shape into loaves and place in greased 9" x 5" bread pans. Cover and let rise until doubled, about 1-1/2 hours. Bake in preheated 375 degree oven 10 minutes. Reduce heat to 350 and bake another 30-35 minutes. Remove from pans and cool on wire racks.
