SHRIMP AND FETTUCICNE ALFREDO

This is a combination of several recipes I had for this dish. And Mike loved it. Hope you do too.
List of Ingredients
18 ounces fettuccine
2 cups heavy cream
2 teaspoons lemon zest
4 tablespoons butter
olive oil
2 cups grated parmesan cheese
2 cloves chopped garlic
salt and pepper
Recipe
Cook the pasta in a large pot of boiling salted water until tender. Stir occasionally. Drain.
Melt 2 tablespoons of butter with a splash of olive oil.
Saute shrimp until pink. Add garlic and saute for another minute. Remove shrimp and garlic to plate or bowl and keep warm. Melt remaining 2 tablespoons of butter in the same skillet. Add cream and stir over medium high heat until cream starts to thicken slightly. Add salt and pepper to taste. Add grated parmesan and lemon zest. Stir constantly until cheese melts. When thickened to desired consistancy, add drained pasta and shrimp and toss to coat evenly.
