Oven Temp. 350 degrees Yield; 16 Delicious! cookies List of Ingredients 1/3 cup brown sugar, packed 1 cup all-purpose flour 1/2 cup finely chopped walnuts 4 Tbsp. melted butter or margarine FILLING; 1 pkg. (8oz.) cream cheese (low-fat can be used) 1/4 cup granulated sugar 1 tsp. grated lemon rind 1 Tbsp. lemon juice 2 Tbsp. sour cream ( fat-free can be used) 1 tsp. vanilla extract 1 egg Instructions In a bowl, combine the brown sugar, flour and walnuts. Stir in the melted butter. Mix until crumbly, Reserve 1/2 cup crumbs for top. Press remainder in 8x8" pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 12-15 minutes. FILLING; Beat together the cream cheese, sugar, lemon rind, lemon juice, sour cream, vanilla and egg until creamy and light. Pour into baked crust. Sprinkle with remaining crumbs. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. Cool for a few minutes on rack before cutting into 2" squares. Cool completely. Serve or cover and refrigerate. These cookies can be frozen for later.
