    Polynesian Glazed Wings (crockpot) - 32 -- w

    Serves: 32

    3 lb. chicken wings (about 16)
    1 10-oz. bottle sweet & sour sauce
    2 T. soy sauce
    2 T. grated fresh ginger
    1/4 to 1/2 tsp. crushed red pepper
    Optional: Thinly sliced green onions

    Preheat broiler. Cut up chicken wings *. Place wing pieces on the unheated rack of the broiler pan. Broil 4 to 5 inches from the heat for 15-20 minutes or until chicken is browned, turning once.

    For Sauce: In a 3-1/2 to 4-qt. slow cooker, combine sweet-and-sour sauce, soy sauce, ginger and crushed red pepper. Add wing pieces, stirring to coat with sauce.

    Cover and cook on LOW for 3-4 hours or on HIGH for 1-1/2 to 2 hours. If desired transfer to a serving plate and sprinkle with green onions.

    One serving w/o green onions equals: 61 calories…5 gm fat (1 gm saturated)…29 mg cholesterol…112 mg sodium…2 gm carbohydrate…0 gm fiber…5 gm protein +++WWP:2

    *Here’s how to cut up the wings> With a sharp knife, cut the tip off each chicken wing and discard tips. Spread each wing open and carefully cut it at it’s joint into two pieces.
