    Nuts: Maple Date Pecan Bread ABM

    Diabetic Exchanges
    Yield: 1 loaf (16 slices)

    Bread:
    1 c. water
    2 T. sugar-free maple syrup
    1 tsp. maple flavoring
    1 tsp. margarine
    1 tsp. salt
    3 T. nonfat dry milk
    3 c. bread flour
    2 tsp. bread machine yeast

    Add ingredients:
    1/3 c. chopped dated
    1/4 c. chopped pecans

    Add bread ingredients to bread pan in order suggested by your manufacturer.

    Add dates and pecans to the bread during the “add ingredients” phase, usually about 40 minutes into the cycle.

    One slice equals: 141 calories…3 gm fat…4 gm protein…25 gm carbohydrate…0 cholesterol…22 mg sodium ++++ Exchanges: 1 starch…1 fruit
