    Cheddar-Turkey Burgers

    Mr. Food’s Quick & Easy Diabetic Cooking
    Cheddar-Turkey Burgers
    Serves: 6

    1-1/2 lbs. lean ground turkey breast
    1 c. (4 oz.) reduced-fat shredded Cheddar cheese
    1/2 tsp. onion powder
    1/2 tsp. garlic powder
    1/8 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. pepper

    In a large bowl, combine all ingredients. Form into 6 equal-sized patties. Coat a large nonstick cooking spray and cook over medium heat for 3-4 minutes per side or until juices run clear.

    One burger equals: 182 calories (42 from fat)…5 gm fat (3 gm saturated)…86 mg cholesterol…248 mg sodium…0 fiber…33 gm protein ++++ Exchanges: 5 very lean meat +++WWP: 4
