    Polynesian Kabobs -- e

    "Taste of Home Magazine"-2000
    Polynesian Kabobs
    Serves: 6 (2 kabobs each)

    1 can (8 oz.) unsweetened pineapple chunks
    1 pkg. (12 oz.) light pork sausage links
    1 can (8 oz.) whole water chestnuts, drained
    1 large sweet red pepper, cut into 1-in. chunks
    2 T. honey
    2 tsp. light soy sauce
    1/8 tsp. ground nutmeg
    Dash pepper

    Drain pineapple, reserving 1 T. juice (discard remaining juice). Thread sausages, water chestnuts, peppers and pineapple alternately onto 12 metal or soaked bamboo skewers.

    Grill kabobs, uncovered, over medium-heat for 7 minutes. In a small bowl, combine the remaining ingredients and reserved pineapple juice. Turn kabobs; brush with honey mixture. Grill 5-6 minutes longer or until the sausages are browned.
