    PEAS WITH MUSHROOMS

    Serves: 4

    1/2 pound fresh mushrooms, sliced
    2 T. sliced green onions
    1 T. margarine
    1/4 tsp. dried marjoram
    1/8 tsp. pepper
    Dash ground nutmeg
    1 pkg. (10 ounces) frozen peas, cooked.

    In a skillet over medium heat, sauté the mushrooms and onion in butter for 3-5 minutes. Add marjoram, salt 'if desired', pepper and nutmeg; mix well. Add peas and heat through.

    DIABETIC EXCHANGE: One serving equals: 1 vegetable, 1/2 starch, 1/2 fat ++++ ALSO 95 calories, 117 mg sodium, 0 cholesterol, 10 gm carbohydrate, 4 gm protein, 3 gm fat
