    List of Ingredients


    • 1 cup cornmeal
    • 1/2 T flour
    • 1/2 tsp. baking soda
    • 1/2 tsp. salt
    • 2 tsp. sugar
    • 1 egg
    • 3/4 cup buttermilk
    • 6 tsp. chopped onions
    • 3 oz. grated cheddar cheese


    Instructions


    1. Mix all ingredients together, add buttermilk and egg,
    2. mix well.
    3. Add onion and cheese, mix well and drop by teaspoonful
    4. into hot fat that fish was fried in.
    5. Fry until golden brown on both sides.
