    Roo's Macaroni & Cheese

    List of Ingredients


    • 8 ounces Velveeta cheese, sliced
    • 1-1/2 cups uncooked elbow macaroni
    • 3 Tbsp butter
    • 1/4 cup granulated sugar, or to taste
    • Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
    • 1/4 cup milk


    Instructions


    1. Reserve a few of the cheese slices, and set these aside.

    2. Boil the macaroni in salted water with 1 teaspoon of oil until "al dente," approximately 10 minutes. Drain and rinse lightly.

    3. Transfer the cooked macaroni to a large mixing bowl. Combine butter, remaining cheese, sugar, salt and pepper, and milk. Stir until well combined, and turn mixture into a 10-inch pie dish or casserole. Dot top of macaroni with the few extra slices of Velveeta.

    4. Bake at 350 degrees (F) for 20 to 25 minutes.
