    Easy Meat and Cheese Stacks

    Source of Recipe

    recipe ross

    List of Ingredients

1 pkg. (3 oz.) cream cheese, softened
1 tbsp. each dijon mustard, grated onion
1 variety pack of assorted lunch meat (kind that comes with 4 slices of 4 different kinds of meat - get one with all 4 same shape, either all round or all square)
12 slices processed cheese, any flavor or combination of flavors (4 of 3 flavors)
    1 pile of toothpicks

    Recipe

Mix cream cheese, mustard and onion in a small bowl. Open meat and separate meats into 4 different kinds. Now comes stacking part. Easiest if done it like an assembly line. Take first flavor meat and lay its 4 slices out on cutting board individually, like you are dealing cards. Spread each slice with a little cream cheese, then add a slice of cheese, then a little more cream cheese. Then put second flavor of meat on top of each, spread with cream cheese, a slice of cheese, cream cheese. Third flavor meat, cream cheese, slice of cheese, cream cheese and 4th kind of meat. Should end up with 4 identical stacks of 1 slice each meat and 3 slices of cheese stuck with cream cheese. Cut each stack into about 1" squares (bite-size), put a toothpick down through middle to keep it together. You should be able to get about 16 squares from each stack. It is easier than it sound s and they are very good. Can be made ahead. Makes 16 Appetizers.
