    CAKE
    1 CUP SUGAR
    1/2 TEASPOON SALT
    1 TEASPOON BAKING SODA
    1 1/2 CUPS FLOUR
    1/4 CUP COCOA
    1 TEASPOON VANILLA
    1 TABLESPOON WHITE VINGAR
    1/2 CUP VEGETABLE OIL
    1 CUP COLD WATER

    Recipe

    SIFT SUGAR,SALT, BAKING SODA, FLOUR AND COCOA. PLACE IN
    BOWL. MAKE A WELL IN THE CENTER OF INGREDIENTS AND ADD VANILLA, VINGAR, OIL AND WATER. MIX UNTIL BARLEY BLENDED; DO NOT USE ELECTRIC MIXTER. POUR INTO UNGREASED 9 BY 8 INCH PAN. BAKE 30 TO 35 MINUTES AT 350 DEGREES.

    FROSTING
    3 TABLESPOONS FLOUR
    1 CUP MILK
    1CUP SUGAR
    1 TEASPOON VANILLA
    2 STICKS ...1/2 LB. BUTTER SOFTEN

    COOK FLOUR AND MILK TOGETHER UNTIL THICK. STIRRING
    CONSTANTLY. REMOVE FROM HEAT AND COOL. BEAT TOGETHER BUTTER,SUGAR, AND VANILLA. ADD COOKED AND COOLED FLOUR
    MIXTURE. CONTINTINUE TO BEAT UNTIL CREAMY AND OF SPREADING
    CONSISTENCY. SPREAD ON COOLED CAKE...
