    2 cups unsalted butter or margarine
    10 squares (1 oz. each) semi-sweet chocolate, chopped
    4 cups sugar
    8 large eggs
    1 tsp. each vanilla, salt
    1-2/3 cups flour
    2-1/2 cups walnuts, toasted, coarsely chopped
    optional cocoa powder
    garnish vanilla ice cream

    Recipe




    Heat oven to 350º F. (175º C).
    In a large saucepan over medium-low heat, stir butter and chocolate until melted smooth. Remove from heat.
    Whisk in sugar. Whisk in eggs, 1 at a time. Whisk in vanilla.
    Stir in flour and salt.
    Stir in walnuts.
    Transfer to buttered 15x10" baking dish.
    Bake 50 minutes, or until top is crisp and tester inserted into center comes out with wet crumbs attached.
    Do not overcook. Cool 15 minutes. Dust with cocoa powder, if using. To serve, spoon warm cobbler into bowls; top with vanilla ice cream.
    Makes 12 servings.
