    Old Fashioned Sugar Cookies

    Source of Recipe

back of a box of blue bonnet stick margarine.

    Recipe Introduction

It's magic-round sugar cookies without making cutouts. Shape the cookie dough into balls, and they flatten into rounds as they bake.

    List of Ingredients

1 cup (2 sticks) Blue Bonnet,
    1/4 tsp. salt
    softened 2 eggs
    1 1/2 cups Sugar
    2 tsp. Mcormick
2 tsp. Mcormick Cream of Tartar
    1 tsp. Pure Vanilla Extract
    1 tsp. baking soda
    2 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
    1/4-1/3 cup sugar

    Recipe

In a large bowl beat Blue Bonnet with an electric mixer on medium to high speed for 30 seconds. Add 1 1/2 cups sugar, cream of tartar, baking soda, and salt. Beat until combined, scraping sides of bowl occasionally. Beat in eggs and vanilla until combined. Beat in as much flour as you can with the mixer. Using a wodden spoon, stir in any remaining flour.

Cover and chill in referigerator for 2 to 3 hours or until dough is easy handle.

Shape dough into 1-inch balls. Roll in 1/4 to 1/3 cup sugar. Place balls about 2 inches apart on an ungreased cookie sheet.

Bake in a 375 degree oven 7 to 8 minutes or until edges are lightly brown. Transfer cookies to a wire rack; let cool.
