    1 stick butter or margarine
    1 medium onion, diced
    1 quart of canned tomatoes (or 28 oz. can whole tomatoes
    Approximately 1/2 lb. American cheese
    1 lb. spaghetti
    Salt and pepper to taste

    Recipe





    Saute onion in butter. Roughly chop tomatoes into 4-6 pieces and add tomatoes and juice form can into butter and onion. Salt and pepper
    (about 1/2 tsp. salt and pinch of pepper). Turn down heat and let simmer. The tomatoes mixture will cook down some. I let it simmer for approximately 1/2 hour. Cook spaghetti as per directions on box.
    Then add cheese to mixture, and whisk to combine. Drain spaghetti, and then add tomatoes and cheese mixture to same pot.
    Serve with salad and crusty French bread.
