CREAMY BAKE RICE PUDDING

1 Quart milk (4 Cups)
1/4 Cup sugar
1/4 cup uncooked regular white rice
1 Tablespoon butter or margarine
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 cup light or dark raisins which is optional
Recipe
Heat oven 325 degrees.
In grease 1 1/2 quart casserole, combine milk, sugar, rice, butter,
salt, nutmeg and vanilla.
Bake uncovered stirring often, 2 hours and 30 minutes.
Or until rice is done.
Add raisins after the first hour of baking time.
Serve warm or cold
Makes 4 to 6 servings.
