    List of Ingredients




    4 cups flour
    3 cups sugar
    ½ pound butter DO NOT SUBSTITUTE
    1 tsp vanilla
    4 eggs
    1 cup milk

    FROSTING

    1 stick butter
    1 cup milk
    pinch of salt
    1½ cups sugar

    Recipe



    Mix cake as any pound cake. Bake in greased and floured tube pan at 300° for 1½ hours. Cool in pan about 10 minutes, then finish cooling on wire rack.

    FROSTING

    Cook all ingredients in heavy saucepan for 12 to 15 minutes. Cool. Spread on cooled cake.
