    2 cups sugar
    1½ cup oil
    4 eggs
    3 cups plain flour
    2 tsp baking powder
    2 tsp soda
    2 tsp salt
    2 tsp cinnamon
    ½ cup milk
    2 cups cooked, mashed pumpkin
    1 cup chopped pecans
    ½ cup raisins (optional)

    FORSTING

    8 oz. cream cheese
    ½ stick butter
    1 box confectioners sugar
    1 tsp vanilla

    Recipe



    Combine sugar, oil and eggs and beat well. Sift together the dry ingredients and add to above mixture. Blend in the milk, pumpkin, pecans and raisins. Bake in three greased and floured 9" cake pans. Bake for 40 minutes at 300°. Cool and frost.

    FROSTING

    Combine all ingredients and beat until creamy. Spread between layers and top and sides.

    Note: you may substitute 1 can pumpkin pie filling, cut the sugar to 1 3/4 cups and omit the spice.
