    1 box Red Velvet cake mix
    eggs, oil and water ( according to directions on box)
    8 oz. cream cheese softened
    1/2 cup sugar
    1 egg white

    For the icing:
    4 oz. cream cheese softened
    1/3 cup butter
    2 cups powdered sugar
    1 tsp vanilla
    1 T. milk

    Recipe



    Preheat oven to 350°. Spray a 13x9 baking dish with non-stick cooking spray (the one with flour in it)
    Prepare red velvet cake mix according to package directions.
    In a separate bowl, beat together 8 oz cream cheese, 1/2 cup sugar and egg white. Mix well until smooth. Pour half of the cake batter into baking dish. Spread out evenly.
    Drop the cream cheese mixture by spoonfuls on the batter. Swirl it lightly.
    Add the rest of the cake batter, spread out as evenly as possible. Put cake in oven and bake about 40 minutes.
    Allow the cake to cool completely. Prepare frosting.
    In a bowl combine 4 oz cream cheese, 1/3 cup softened butter (use electric mixer). Add in powdered sugar and mix until smooth. Stir in vanilla, then mix in milk.
    Mix until smooth, then spread on cake.

    This cake needs to be refrigerated.
