    4 cups flour
    1 cup sugar
    ½ cup molasses
    1 tsp salt
    1 tsp soda
    1 tsp vanilla
    2 tsp nutmeg
    2 eggs
    1 stick margarine
    3 T Crisco
    ¼ cup buttermilk

    Recipe



    Sift together dry ingredients, add eggs, shortening and margarine. Add buttermilk. Mix by hand as making biscuits. Pat in greased pan. Bake at 375° about 10 minutes until golden brown. Makes about 6 layers.
    Stack with apple filling.
