    Deep Fried Cheese Balls

    List of Ingredients

    1 c. grated cheese
    1 c. milk
    1 c. flour
    6 Tbsp. butter
    salt
    1 tsp. cayenne pepper
    3 eggs, beaten
    oil for deep frying
    tomato sauce


    Recipe

    In a large saucepan, warm the milk and gradually add the
    flour, stirring constantly so that no lumps are formed. Add
    the butter and when the mixture thickens, remove it from the
    heat and add the cheese. Blend well. Add salt to taste, the
    cayenne pepper and the beaten eggs. When cool, the mixture
    should be thick enough to shape into balls. Heat the oil to
    350 degrees. Make approximately 24 balls the size of a lemon from the
    mixture and drop a few of them at a time into the hot oil.
    Deep fry until the balls are a golden brown on all sides (about
    two minutes). Drain. Serve immediately with tomato sauce.
