    Golden Dinner Rolls

    Source of Recipe

    Patrick

    List of Ingredients

    1 c. scalded milk
    1/4 c. cool water
    1/2 c. white sugar
1/2 c. stick margarine (chopped up)
    1 t. salt
    1 egg beaten
    4 1/2 c. all purpose flour
    3 t. yeast

    Recipe

Add first 6 ingredients to bread machine pan and stir with a rubber spatula to make sure all the salt and sugar is dissolved. Add the flour and then place the yeast on top.
Select the dough cycle on the machine and start the machine. When the dough is rising you will need to keep an eye on it because it sometimes rises in about half the time of other breads. When the dough has risen to the top of the pan, clean your kitchen counter top off and spray with Pam or some other spray oil and dump the dough on the counter.
Do not add extra flour to work the dough with, use spray oil to keep the rolls light and fluffy.
Spray the dough well with the Pam and cut into 24 equal pieces. Roll each piece into a tight ball and place the rolls in a well sprayed pan to rise. I use the botom of my broiler pan becasue it is slightly larger than a 9x13 and just the right size to hold all the rolls. Let the rolls rise until almost doubled and bake in a preheated 375 degree oven for about 18 to 19 minutes.
You can make the rolls ahead and let them rise about half way and cover them with plastic wrap and put them in the refrigerator, they will finish rising and keep at jusy the right level. Then you can bake then when you are ready to eat.
