Sweet & Sour Meatloaf

Recipe Introduction
This is our all-time favorite meatloaf.
List of Ingredients
- 1-1/2 lbs. ground beef
- 1 c. bread crumbs
- 1 t. salt
- 1/4 t. pepper
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 1 (15 oz.) can tomato sauce
- 2 T. brown sugar
- 2 T. vinegar
- 1/2 c. white sugar
- 2 t. prepared mustard
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- Mix ground beef, bread crumbs, salt, pepper, onion and half of tomato sauce. Form into a loaf, wrap in foil and put into a pan.
- Bake in 350 degree oven for 1 hour.
- Mix remaining tomato sauce, brown sugar, vinegar, white sugar and mustard in a sauce pan and bring to a boil.
- Pour over meat loaf and bake another 10 minutes.
Final Comments
I usually double the sauce and just pour half over the meatloaf. The rest we use on top of the slices of the meatloaf on our plates.
