List of Ingredients
- 12 large cucumbers, sliced
- 6 onions, sliced
- 1 pint vinegar
- 2 c. sugar
- 1 t. pepper
- 1 t. ginger
- 1 t. mustard seed
- 1/2 t. turmeric
- 1 t. celery seed
Instructions
- Place cucumbers and onions in a large bowl of salt water and soak for 1 hour; drain.
- In a large kettle, mix together vinegar, sugar, pepper, ginger, mustard seed, turmeric and celery seed; bring to a boil. Add cucumbers and onions; boil for 10 minutes.
- Put pickles in pint jars leaving 1/2 inch headspace.
- Process in boiling water bath for 15 minutes.
