OLD OLD RECIPE!


Recipe Introduction


This is a very old recipe that I found. Since, I have made no other, not even my mom's! It is so moist and I usually wrap it in foil and bag it in plastic when it is cool. It freezes great too. It looks really dark for banana bread, but don't let that fool you!


List of Ingredients





Brown Sugar Banana Bread

3/4 c. margarine
2 eggs
1 1/2 c. Brown sugar
1 1/2 c. (4) mashed banana's
1/2 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. salt
2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder

Recipe




Mix all ingredients together for 2 to 3 min. Pour into a greased loafpan. Bake at 325 for 75 to 85 min., checking every 10 min. after 75. If bread is still a little doughy in the top, shut off oven and let it set until you can touch the top and it springs back.
