Turtle Cake

1 pkg. German Choc. cake mix
14 oz. bag caramels
3/4 c. evaporated milk
1/2 c. margarine
6 oz. pkg. choc. chips
6 oz. pkg walnuts

Recipe






Prepare cake mix according to directions. Pour 1/3 of batter into greased 9x13 inch baking pan with sides and bake 15 min. at 350 degrees. Combine caramels, milk and margarine in double boiler(you can also microwave on high, stirring every 15 seconds until melted). Heat until blended, stirring. Pour over 1st layer of baked cake. Pour rest of cake batter over caramel layer and sprinkle with chocolate chips and walnuts. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 min.
