    Crispy Marshmallow Brownies

    1 fudge brownie mix (9x13size)
    1 10-1/2-ounce package tiny marshmallows
    1-1/2 cups semisweet chocolate pieces
    1 cup creamy peanut butter
    1 tablespoon butter or margarine
    1-1/2 cups rice krispie cereal

    Recipe




    Prepare the brownie mix according to package directions, making chewy (not cakelike) brownies. Bake according to directions. Sprinkle baked brownies with marshmallows and return to oven for 3 to 5 minutes or until golden. Cool in the pan on a wire rack. In a saucepan, combine chocolate pieces, peanut butter, and butter or margarine. Heat and stir until the chocolate is melted. (can be done in the microwave too). Remove from heat; stir in the cereal. Pour evenly over marshmallows. Refrigerate until topping is set. Cut into bars. Serve at room temperature.

    These can be made without the peanut butter (DH hates) and just use chips, butter, and cereal for topping.

    **Make sure these are completely cool before cutting, but then they can be kept at room temperature.
