    A family Christmas favorite

    List of Ingredients






    3 cups all purpose flour
    2/3 cup sugar
    3/4 lb. sweet unsalted butter
    3 egg yolks
    pinch of salt

    Recipe





    Mix together and allow dough to rest. Divide in two, wrap in plastic and Cool in refrigerator at least 1 hour. Preheat oven to 350. Roll out dough (thicker than pie dough height) Cut with round cookie cutters or small glass. In half of cut rounds, make a small hole in the center (or use linzer tort cookie cutters). Bake until lightly colored KEEP AN EYE ON THESE. After cooled, top the cookies without the center hole with jam, then cover with a cookie with a center hole. Dust completed cookies with powdered sugar.
