    Nancy's recipe appeared in TASTE OF HOME--they're scrumptious! Chocolate, coconut--who could ask for anything more???!!!

    List of Ingredients





    1 c. margarine, softened
    2 c. sugar
    4 eggs, slightly beaten
    ½ c. chopped walnuts
    ½ c. cocoa
    2 c. flour
    ½ tsp. cream of tartar
    1 tsp. vanilla
    FILLING:
    1 (14 oz.)can coconut
    2 tsp. vanilla
    1 (14 oz.) can sweetened condensed milk
    FROSTING:
    1 c. minature marshmallows
    ¾ c. sugar
    ¼ c. milk
    2 T. margarine
    1 c. chocolate chips
    1 tsp. vanilla

    Recipe



    Cream margarine, add beaten eggs and sugar, mix well. Add nuts, cocoa, flour, cream of tartar and vanilla, mix well. Put in half of brownie batter in a greased 9 x 13" baking pan. Mix filling ingredients and spread over batter. Cover with leftover brownie batter. Bake for 30 minutes @350°.

    FROSTING:
    Put marshmallows, sugar, milk and margarine in a double boiler. Heat until melted and syrupy. Remove from heat and add chocolate chips and vanilla. Stir until chips are melted and frosting is spreading consistency. (I put mine in the microwave and melt everything.)
    Makes 36 bars.
