    3 cups sifted powdered sugar
    1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla (or 1 tablespoon lemon juice)
    2 to 4 tablespoons milk
    Paste or liquid food coloring -- optional

    Recipe






    Stir together powdered sugar, vanilla or lemon juice, and enough milk to make of spreading or drizzling consistency. Divide icing among small bowls and stir in as much food coloring as needed for desired colors.
