Grandma Keckmety
Recipe Introduction
I remember the smell of grandma cooking this chili sauce. It's sweet and tangy and really good on hot dogs or hamburgers (or even right out of the jar!)
List of Ingredients
1 good size peck of ripe tomatoes (chopped)
5 large green or red peppers or a mix
6-10 onions (2" diameter)
1 bunch celery (chopped)
1 tsp mixed whole pickling spices
1/2 Tbsp paprikah
dash of cinnimon
3/4 C cider vinegar
2 C granulated sugar
2 Tbsp. salt
Cook down all ingredients until the right consistency (approximately 45-60 minutes (thick, but with some still chunky celery and peppers). Pour into pint jars and seal in a hot water bath for 30 min.
