    Waterchestnuts Wrapped in Bacon

    Recipe Introduction


    This is one of the most basic appetizers out there - however notice at a party this is always one of the first appetizers to disappear!


    List of Ingredients


    • 2 Cups Ketchup
    • 1 cup water
    • 1 tbsp worcestershire sauce
    • 1 tbsp brown sugar
    • 1 tbsp white vinegar
    • Bacon slices
    • Can of whole waterchestnuts
    • Toothpicks


    Instructions


    1. Mix the sauce by combining the ketchup, water, worcestershire sauce, brown sugar and vinegar.
    2. Slice the the bacon in half lengthwise.
    3. Par cook the bacon - Do NOT crisp
    4. Wrap waterchestnuts with bacon and secure with a wooden toothpick.
    5. Pour the sauce over the chestnuts and allow to marinate covered overnight.
    6. Heat in oven and serve.
