    Recipe Introduction

Use WHOLE Milk - it makes a BIG difference.

    List of Ingredients

    • 1 medium banana (about 4oz), peeled and cut into 8 pieces.
    • 3 1/2 cups berries (16oz)
    • 1/2 cup whole milk
    • 1/2 cup white cranberry or apple juice
    • pinch of salt
    • 3 - 6 tsp sugar
    • 2 -3 tsp of lemon juice
    • 3 ice cubes (about 1 1/2 oz)

    Instructions

    1. Line a rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper and arrange the banana and berries in a single layer on baking sheet.
    2. Freeze the fruit until VERY cold - BUT NOT FROZEN - about 10 minutes.
    3. In a blender puree the cold fruit, milk, juice, salt and 1 tbsp sugar and 1 tsp of lemon jucie and ice until uniformily smooth (10 to 20 seconds)
    4. Taste for sugar and lemon - if needed add more sugar or lemon and blend until combined (2 seconds longer).
    5. Serve COLD - Immediately!

    Final Comments

To make a MELON Smoothie - MAKE SURE MELON IS RIPE - EVEN OVER RIPE!!! Follow Recipe seed watermelon if used. 1 to 2 inch pieces are fine. You need to reduce the amount of milk and juice to 1/3 cups each.
