    Ibiza Sangria

    Source of Recipe

This is the Sangria we always drank on the beach in Ibiza

    Recipe Introduction

Always allow Sangria to sit and let the flavors marry. Eight hours is best and at the minium 2 hours.

    List of Ingredients

    • 2 large juicy oranges, washed, slice one orange and juice the remaining orange.
    • 1 large lemon washed and sliced
    • 1/4 cup sugar
    • 1/4 cup Triple Sec
    • 1 750 milliliter bottle of inexpensive , fruity medium bodied red wine - Chilled.

    Instructions

    1. Add sliced orange and lemon and sugar to a large pitcher.
    2. Mash gently with a wooden spoon until fruit releases some juice but is not totally crushed and sugar dissolves - about 1 minute
    3. Stir in the orange juice of the one orange.
    4. Add Triple Sec and wine.
    5. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours - but better yet up to 8.
    6. Before serving add 6 - 8 ice cubes and stir briskly to distribute settled fruit and pulp.
    7. Serve immediately!

    Final Comments

Fruit like kiwi, apples, grapes are just wasted - this is real Sangria.
